Start a Rugby Club
Objective
To help clubs create a culture through rugby to continue the sport for generations.
Reason
Once I returned to the US, I have noticed similarities in club management from different clubs around the country. Unfortunately, rural, and smaller colleges have a tougher time being an operational club due to the following issues.
- Lack of Players
- Poor financial support from the community or school.
- Lack of resources such as equipment (rucking pads, balls, and uniforms)
- Poor communications with players, coaches, union, and community or school.
- Lack of matches
Checklist
As a veteran, checklist are very important in the military community. The information listed below are items that I have complied together to help run and keep your program going. I have pulled information from USA Rugby, World Rugby, and other rugby clubs around the country.
